Naukeli

Ambassadors

At Naukeli, we see fly tying as more than just a hobby—it’s a chance to be creative, connect with tradition, and share a true love for both tying and fishing

Our ambassadors bring that to life. They’re talented fly tiers, passionate anglers, and great storytellers who believe in what we stand for: innovation, quality, and community. Whether they’re at the vise or out on the water, they show what happens when skill and passion come together.

Meet the people who represent Naukeli and carry that spirit wherever they tie and fish.

Niels Rohde

@niels_rohde

Niels has been holding a fishing rod since he was just three years old. From catching his first roach with dough bait to chasing salmon and sea trout on the fly, fishing has always been a central part of his life. By the age of six, he was tying his own flies, and today fly fishing is his greatest passion.

For Niels, it’s not just about the fish – it’s about focus, connection, and those unforgettable moments.

Niels likes chasing silvers either at Skjern Å for Atlantic salmon or sea trout on Funen, where he lives.

Ane-Ingeborg Bakken Simsø

@fiskedilla

Ane only picked up a fly rod in December 2022, but quickly fell in love with both fly fishing and fly tying. What started as a way to de-stress from a hectic life as a business lawyer soon turned into a deep passion.
For her, both casting and tying are mindful, almost meditative practices — where focus, creativity, and curiosity meet.

She blends tradition with personal style to craft flies that don’t just catch fish but also inspire. Ane’s favorite target is trout, but she doesn’t discriminate when it comes to fish species or tying challenges.

Per Tofting

@pertfting

Per Tofting lives in Brønderslev with his wife and their three children.
He has a deep love for the outdoors—whether it’s foraging for mushrooms, collecting wood for fly holders, or, most of all, fishing.
Over the years, he has explored many types of fishing, but in recent times his main focus has been chasing sea trout, sea bass, and mullet along the coast.
On the river, he primarily targets sea trout, often with foam flies.

His favorite time of year is the mayfly hatch, when Ephemera danica dances above the riverbanks. For about a month each season, he enjoys catching beautiful brown trout and large sea trout rising to his mayfly imitations.

Fly tying is another of Per’s passions. He especially enjoys creating new patterns and testing them on the water. While most of his work revolves around coastal flies, he ties flies for all his fishing. He is also fortunate to share this passion with local fly-tying friends. During the winter months, they meet weekly for fly tying and a beer, gathering under the name “The Grimbergen Club.”

Christian Krogh

@christiankrog36

Christian Krogh has been a passionate angler his entire life. For many years, his main focus has been fly fishing for trout, both along the coast and in rivers and streams. Deeply dedicated to the craft, he continually refines his techniques and love trying out new materials.

During the dark winter evenings, Christian often finds himself at the fly-tying bench, creating new patterns and refining classics, preferably in the company of fellow anglers, such as those at the Grimbergen Fly Tying Club. Winter is also a time for sharing knowledge, and he spends many evenings producing fly-tying tutorials for social media, sharing his passion for fly tying and fishing.

While winter is devoted to preparation and creativity, his thoughts are never far from the water. He dreams of long, bright summer evenings along the river and those special days in April on the coast, fly rod in hand, chasing sea trout.

Michael Olsen

@michael._.olsen

Michael is an avid fly tyer with a deep passion for making different materials work together. He is always searching for new ways to develop his flies so they become as lively and effective as possible in the water. His greatest passion is salmon flies, but he also ties saltwater flies for sea trout and flies for pike.

Fishing has been a part of Michael’s life on many levels ever since his father first took him on a fishing trip. His father was also the reason fly fishing became Michael’s dominant method in 2008, and he is very grateful for that.

Salmon fishing holds a special place for Michael, and the Mandalselva has become his home river, where you can often meet him on the riverbank in August. Over the years, Michael has also spent a fair amount of time fishing for sea trout and pike.
