Description
White-throated Kingfisher is popular in classic salmon flies and is often used as a substitute for Blue Chatterer. The use of kingfisher also extends to trout flies and goes all the way back to the 19th century. Michael Theakston’s Heron Spinner (1862) uses kingfisher or blue titmouse for the wing.
